The function of cattle grouping system
(1) It is conducive to the growth and development of calves. In the past extensive feeding process, calves were still the same as cows at the age of weaning
Mixed together, the calves often eat milk, can not feed well on coarse and refined materials, and their rumen can not be well developed. Poor early development will affect the production performance of adults.
(2) It is conducive to the cultivation of bred cattle. If cows are raised together with adult cows during the breeding period, it is bound to cause that the bred cows can not feed well, resulting in malnutrition and growth and development can not reach the breeding goal.
(3) The dietary nutrition level can be formulated according to the production level of different cattle groups. For example, high-yield dairy cows can adopt high-energy and high protein diet, and low-energy and low protein diet can be adopted for low-yield dairy cows, so as to make the formulation of diet more targeted, scientific and accurate.
(4) The proportion of concentrate and roughage can be adjusted with the change of lactation stage and milk production level. (5) For low yield cattle, some cheap diets can be prepared to reduce the feeding cost.
(6) The milk yield of different cattle tends to be consistent, which is conducive to the work management of the milking hall.
(7) The physiological stages of different cattle tend to be consistent, which is conducive to the identification of estrus and pregnancy examination of cattle.
(8) Because the cows with similar lactation stage and production level are only in one group, the management work is more convenient and easy to improve work efficiency.
