Why fix the hoof:

Hoof repair is an important part of health care. It is particularly important for breeding sheep. If the hoof is not repaired in time, hoof disease will occur, such as turning up of the hoof tip, rot of the hoof fork, deformation of the limbs, etc., resulting in difficulties in walking, affecting the health of the sheep, and even disability. The shoe can be repaired once every half a year or at any time according to the specific situation. In spring, hoof trimming is usually carried out after shearing and before grazing.

The hoof trimming should be carried out after rain, or grazing in a humid area before hoof trimming to make the hoof soft for pruning. The main tools for repairing hooves are hoof knives and hoof scissors. You can also use the branch scissors or small sickle of fruit trees, or even use a sharpened knife. The hoof repair generally starts with the left forelimb. After the front hoof is repaired, the rear hoof is repaired.
